Judith at the LeeSwammes blog is hosting a Literary Blog Hop giveaway, and because I enjoy Judiths blog and have a bit of a thing for literary fiction I thought Id join in. So, lets hop to it (sorry, terrible pun, I know), shall we?
Last year I read, loved, and waxed lyrical about F Scott Fitzgeralds'Tender is the Night, so I thought Id give away a copy as part of my participation in the blog tour.
Heres a bit about the book:
Sometimes it is harder to deprive oneself of a pain than of a pleasure.
Set on the French Riviera in the 1920s, American Dick Diver and his wife Nicole are the epitome of chic, living a glamorous lifestyle and entertaining friends at their villa. Young film star Rosemary Hoyt arrives in France and becomes entranced by the couple. It is not long before she is attracted to the enigmatic Dick, but he and his wife hold dark secrets and as their marriage becomes more fractured, Fitzgerald laments the failure of idealism and the carefully constructed trappings of high society in the Roaring Twenties.
Heres my review, if youre interested.
And heres where you enter! (Entry open to those who live in a country where Book Depository ships. Sorry, Antarcticans)

Heres a little hello.
Thirst. John Siddique
Imagine thirst without knowing water.
And you ask me what freedom means.
Imagine love without love.
Some things are unthinkable,
until one day the unthinkable is here.
Imagine thirst without knowing water.
Some things we assume just are as they are,
no action is taken to make or sustain them.
Imagine love without love.
It is fear that eats the heart: fear and
endless talk, and not risking a step.
Imagine thirst without knowing water.
Fold away your beautiful thoughts.
Talk away curiosity, chatter away truth.
Imagine love without love.
Imagine believing in the whispers,
the screams and the gossip. Dancing to a tune
with no song to sing inside you.
Imagine love without love.
I would love this! I did read it years and years ago and would love to re-read it such a nice edition too.
Thanks, Ali! I love this one, too, and Im so glad to hear that you did as well!
